Fort Elberton
On one blue grey day, me, Antony and Allie went to the Elberton Hill fort, which was once inhabited by Iron Age tribes. We wondered through the wood feeling like we were following and being followed by old odd fellows discussing and looking at the good food which is provided by the forest such as a mushroom with the “P.C.” name of Jews ears. We came to relatively sheltered spot, Antony set me the task of of collecting wood for my fire. So I went on my way foraging around for dry wood of varying sizes an shapes. Antony noticed that there was a dead tree hanging from another tree, which looked to be dry, I set about in my usual loud crashing about manner trying to get the whole dead tree down, it was quickly pointed out that we did not need the whole bloody tree, we were not going to be here for the week just a few hours. I was just setting about getting my wood in order (appropriate size of wood for the different stages of fire making and lighting) for my fire when Antony abruptly interrupted my making of fire and started to haphazardly build His own muttering all you have to do is slap a bit of wood there put a bit of paper there, but however he tried to start his fire it wouldn’t start. I quickly built and lit my fire.
After lying down Antony placed his hands on my chest, I felt a great release from my chest,  there was tears in my eyes and a wail\shout from the deepest part of my lungs and being. The tears were tears of sadness, of not appreciating the day to day beauty which is around me and within me, but there was real joy as well,  joy because I remembered the joy. I felt myself fly high higher than any air plane trip I had taken, I was looking through the eyes of a buzzard, then it was as if I was watching a stag through the mist, then foraging with mice. At another point I was nose to nose with a wolf it felt as if they were family, the visions kept changing and each one had a different flavour and different emotional content. I settled, I was lying back down feeling at home. I don’t feel the need to explain all of my experiences and I cant remember them all.
